Special Community Meeting At a Special Community Meeting held in the Memorial Building that same evening, NT0 DS personnel met with local citizens to discuss the results of the NTDS survey. The meeting was opened by Mayor Price who then turned it over to NTDS briefly for a presentation of their findings. An explanation of the method taught that afternoon to the influentials followed, so that the citizens would better be able to participate in discussion groups. An exemplary problem was presented to the citizens to familiarize them with the procedure. The six areas of greatest concern, as evidenced by a NTDS randan sample of the populace, were outlined. These areas were: Growth and Land Use, Medical Services, Schools, Recreation, Services for the Elderly, and Public Services. The citizens then dispersed into discussion groups according to personal interest in a specific problem. These groups met for approximately one hour and then reconvened as a whole to briefly view the results of each group.
