And a financial expose is, of course, their latest At this time I would like to thank all of the people who gave of their time and money, when mce again they either heard my voice on the phone trophy. In the days, vague rumors floated about concerning some type of inequity existing in the relations between the Park City and the South Summit school districts. Few persons were aware of the foundation for such rumors and fewer still wanted to take the time to investigate. The CCAG took the bull by the horns, shoveled away the bull, and began honking their horns. They discovered what was wrong and used facts to substantiate their claims. When the candidates for the South Summit School Board were confronted with the unjustness of dollars intended for Park City schools accrued to the South Summit School district, they pleaded ignorance and claimed they needed facts before they would admit such a condition existed. Well, the condition did exist, and the CCAG provided the facts to prove it. Talk may be cheap, but some intelligent talk and some diligent detective work raised the $57,000 question Why should parents send their children to one school and their money to another school? Now that the CCAG has constructed its case and has presented its evidence, the South Summit jury has little choice but to award the wronged parents the full utility of their tax dollars. Had it not been for the Concerned Citizens Action Group, who knows how long this injustice may have festered undetected? Civic involvement is alive and well in Park City, but it has not attained the proportions needed. The CCAG is to be congratulated, but there are other problem areas which are begging for similar attention. Weve said it before, and were saying it again. What has happened to the other CCAGs? What has become of those concerned individuals who pledged to administer to the needs of the elderly, who vowed to bring about the realization of a medical facility in Park City, and who ? volunteered their services to other worthy areas suggested by the If these groups are active, lets hear from them. We want to congratulate Park Citys Concerned Citizens Action Group for Schools. This weeks front page story manifests the value of a concerned citizen and the power of a group of such individuals. Talk is about the only thing that is cheap these days, and action continues to be a scarce commodity. While others consume large amounts of time belaboring the ills of our community, the CCAG has gone about the business of prescribing cures for some of our maladies.
