Dog licenses will also be available for purchase at the clinics. County staff will be on hand servicing Ogden Valley residents on January 10, 2004 at the Eden Fire Station, 2200 N. 5550 E., between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. Cost for the rabies shot is $7.00. Dr. Etta Baker, DVM, from Valley Vet, will administer the shots. Ogden City to Host New Year’s First Night Ogden City is gearing up for another fantastic First Night Event—a New Year’s tradition you won’t want to miss. First Night is a great way to wrap up the holiday season, and bring in the new year. This year’s event boasts a full night’s worth of entertainment on three stages. 10:30 to 12:30 a.m. Krisdagong: The Wasatch Front’s favorite hip hop band. Adult Stage 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Special Guest 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Logan - The Band; a great band playing the sounds of Chicago, Beach Boys, Santana, and more. Come ready to dance! 9:00 to 10:30 p.m. Local Favorites Jamie & Tenill: Country Rock 11:00 to 12:30 a.m. Joe McQueen: Known throughout the Wasatch Front for his upbeat Jazz and saxophone sounds. In addition to music, First Night will host free games and activities for the whole family, including face painting, stories by the Tree House Museum, games, prizes, free throw competitions for individuals and families, jousting, and the bungee pull on the street; plus food drinks, drawings, and much more! Chelsea Keefer, Courtney Murphy, and Lauren Rich were soldiers in cast A which performed the weekend after Thanksgiving in Ogden, and were selected to perform opening night at the Capitol Theater in Salt Lake City. A b b i e Rasmussen has the part of a party girl in the opening act. She is in cast C and will perform December 17-20 at the Capitol Theater. After being selected for the parts at the September audition, the girls attended rehearsals all through October and November along with their regular ballet class schedules. Abbie, Chelsea, Courtney, and Lauren are students at the Ballet West Academy in Salt Lake City. Kiana attends Penny McKay’s School of Ballet in Ogden. Abbie stated after one, three hour Saturday rehearsal that she did not want to stop, she wished she could rehearse all day for her dance because it was so much fun! Wolf Creek Resort Opens Deli & Marketplace Eden, UT – December 15, 2003 – Sean Luebbers, Hospitality Director for Wolf Creek Resort, has announced the opening of the Wolf Creek Deli & Marketplace, just in time for the holiday shopping season. “We have transformed the former snack bar area and Pro Shop in the Clubhouse into a full service deli and marketplace, offering a wide assortment of gifts, food products and golf merchandise,” commented Luebbers. The Deli will be open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week, with hours from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and “grab and go” lunches until late afternoon. Breakfast will be offered, and skiers and riders can grab a quick bit to eat while waiting for the Powder Mountain Shuttle. Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and will feature freshly made sandwiches, hearty soups, light salads, and traditional burgers. “Grab and Go” sandwiches will be available until late afternoon. The Marketplace will feature a display of local artists’ works. Kris Wilkerson of Wilkerson Fine Art in Huntsville will provide a full array of art pieces by local artists, and Janet Peters of Ume Designs in Liberty will display her infamous selection of designer bags and whimsical purses. Wolf Creek Resort General Manager Chris Briscoe commented, “We opened up the space between former snack bar area and Pro Shop, so that our guests can browse through the Marketplace while waiting for their breakfast or lunch from the Deli. The spaces work really well together. We have an excellent selection of holiday gift items, and look forward to welcoming the community to our new shopping and dining experience.” Wolf Creek Resort is located at 3900 N.
