One month later, December 23, this was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She and her husband, a mechanical engineer, moved frequently throughout the United States while he was teaching on the college level or working in the industry. They lived in La Habra, California for 12 years, after which they moved to London, England for a year before settling in Utah. She continued to live there ten years after her husband’s death in 1978 when she moved to San Clemente. Jean was active in the LDS church, teaching many years in the Relief Society. She also volunteered in a variety of capacities—as a librarian in a mental hospital, teaching English as a second language, and as a foster parent. Also, an enthusiastic world traveler, she had a life long love for the ocean. Jean was the youngest of ten children, all of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Bruce L. MacKay of San Clemente, California; and a daughter, Michele A. (William) Tincher of Parowan, Utah. Funeral Services were held Friday, December 19, 2003 at Larkin & Sons Mortuary, Ogden. Dale Bingham Our dear sweet Daddy, Walter Dale Bingham, 85, passed away at home, surrounded by his family, Saturday, December 13, 2003 of causes incident to age. Dad was born February 6, 1918, in Ogden, Utah, to Walter Edward and Lillian Rose Jespersen Bingham. He was the eldest of 11 children. He was reared on a farm where Ogden’s Hinckley Airport is now located. Upon returning home from an LDS Mission to the Central States, he met Ramona Spackman and they were married June 30, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They resided in Roy throughout their lives, in the home they built as newlyweds. Mom passed away October 3, 2003. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His unwavering testimony was evident as he served in many callings, including: first Bishop of the Roy 9th Ward, the first President of the Roy Utah North Stake, and a sealer in the Ogden Temple. He served throughout his life with humility and love. Dad’s love of music played an important role in his life. He sang with his ten brothers and sisters for many years at church and community events. He was President of the Ogden Symphonic Choir. He was the owner of Dale Bingham Pianos and a factory representative for the Sohmer Piano Company. For years he carried on his dad’s tradition of growing watermelon and cantaloupe. People came from miles around to buy a “Bingham” melon. He was a veteran of WW II. He served on the Roy City Council for 12 years. One of dad’s greatest gifts has been his deep empathy for others. Many people were drawn to him for counsel and comfort, especially his family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and laughed easily. He was a great listener, a wonderful example, and a tender loving man. We will miss him. He is survived by nine children; Barbara (Ned) Willie of Hooper; Eileen (Jack) Clawson of Huntsville; Stephen (Kay) Bingham of Willard; Madalyn (Robert) Taylor of Marriott; Gregory (Susan) Bingham of West Jordan; Virginia (Gary) Willden of Tremonton; Deborah (Steven) Montgomery of Huntsville; Louise (Roger) Carroll of Smithfield; Sterling (Lisa) Bingham of Syracuse; 49 grandchildren, 85 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild. Bingham of Ogden; and seven sisters, Bette Steers, Ogden; Jessie Nield, Ririe, Idaho: Donna Mosher, Sunset; Delores Tippetts, Slaterville; Kathleen Finch, Los Angeles, California: Nancy Olson, Ogden; and Sandra Brown, St. George. The family wishes to thank Dr. Glen Biddulph for his tender and loving care of our dad and family. Sierra was born December 17, 1989, to Zane B. and Marilyn Spencer Froerer, in Ogden. Sierra lived in the family home located in Huntsville her entire life where she attended Valley Elementary School and Snowcrest Junior High. While at Snowcrest Junior High she actively participated in many activities; she was a cheerleader and served as a 7th Grade Class President. Sierra was blessed with a keen intellect and maintained a 4.0 GPA. In addition to her regular school studies, Sierra was enrolled in classes through BYU independent study. Her love of learning and desire to always do her best was evidenced by the many awards and accomplishments she achieved. Throughout her years in school, she loved every teacher that she was involved with. Sierra was a faithful and righteous member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she was active in the Primary and the Young Women’s Program. She lived a Christ like life, and always tried to help others. As an athlete Sierra was gifted and loved playing soccer on the Warriors’ State Division I soccer team. She also enjoyed playing on an Advantage club soccer team and participated in the United Sports Academy gymnastics team. Sierra was a talented pianist and we loved to listen to her play. Sierra was humble in spirit and modest with her many achievements. She had the wonderful ability to make friends, and people of all ages were drawn to her. The family appreciates her friends, the student body and administration at Snowcrest for their concern. We are grateful for the outpouring of love, and fasting and prayers in her behalf. Sierra loved all of her friends so much! Family was the most important thing to Sierra. She loved spending time with them more than anything else. She valued time with her family at the beach, boating, traveling, jumping on the trampoline, and swimming. She also enjoyed skiing with her sister Candy.
