All children from infancy through five years of age, and their caregivers, are invited to attend for stories and learning activities. Children are introduced to books, music, and art, and participate in learning activities. Infants to three years, 10:30 a.m.; four- and five-year-olds at 11:00 a.m. A craft activity to follow at 11:30. For more information call 745-2220. October 31: The community is invited to stop by the Eden Post Office for an open house that will be held to honor Paula Smith, who is retiring from the U.S Postal Service after over 36 years of service. November 5: Wolf Creek Water is inviting company water users to attend an informal meeting at the Wolf Creek Clubhouse at 7:00 p.m. so the company can explain proposed rate increases, and answer questions customers may have. Conservation measures implemented by other water users on the system will also be discussed. November 6: A public meeting to discuss the petition for a feasibility of incorporation study for a proposed Eden City will be held at _________ , at Snowcrest Junior High. A community group, independent of the formal feasibility study committee has organized the meeting. A panel consisting of Weber County Commissioner Glen Burton, Roger —————, and Sheriff Brad Slater will be available to answer questions from the audience. November 7: The Eccles Community Art Center, Ogden will open two exhibits. Paintings by artist Darl Thomas and pottery by David Socwell will be displayed in the Main gallery. November 8: From 1 to 4 p.m. is Mad Science of Salt Lake City, Science Mania Day at the Eccles Community Art Center, Ogden. Children ages 5 to 10 years old will spend part of the day in the laboratory learning about chemistry, will study the science behind their favorite toys, and work as engineers with pulleys and levers to make their own machines. RSV/croup are respiratory infections with particulary harsh affects on infants and children. This monthly series of free public health lectures is presented to bring nurses and the community together outside of the clinical setting. This is not a medical-jargon driven format. The information is presented in a practical, easy to understand yet comprehensive manner. Questions and answers on the evening topic, as well as, suggestions for other subjects are welcome.
