All children from infancy through five years of age, and their caregivers, are invited to attend for stories and learning activities. Children are introduced to books, music and art and participate in learning activities. Every Tuesday: The Weber County Commission meets at 9:00 a.m. at the Weber County Bldg., 2380 Washington Blvd., Ogden, except on the 2nd Tuesday when the Commission meets at 5:00 p.m. Every Tuesday and Thursday (during summer and fall): Bike rides from Diamond Peak in Eden. The group meets Tuesdays for a mountain biking, and Thursdays for a road ride. Please come and offer to lead us on your favorite bike ride. October 30: Ve Vant Eyore Blood! Annual Valley Elementary Blood Drive. Save your blood for a fun night where sixth grade witches and vampires entertain you with poems, magic tricks and jokes—all while you help save a precious life! Where? Valley Elementary media center, Wednesday, October 30 from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. October 30: Halloween Party at the Ogden Valley Library from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Stories, Costume Contest, and lots of Halloween Fun. Go for an old-fashioned hay ride and return to a down home Halloween party. There will be homemade chili, chili dogs, salads and many ghoulish treats. November 1: No School (Quality Teaching Day) November 1: The Eccles Community Art Center will open two exhibits. In the Main Gallery exhibit will feature the works of Robin Farr and Julie Lewis. The Annual Artists’ Invitational /Holiday Boutique will open in the Carriage House Gallery. An opening reception and evening of holiday shopping is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. on November 2nd.
