Carver, son of David and Linda Carver of Eden, has returned from serving in the Nebraska Omaha Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He spoke at the Eden 1st Ward on October 20. Karen and Bret Barry of Eden had a baby girl on October 2. Elder Dell Argyle and Sister Sheila Argyle of Huntsville have returned from their mission in the Philippines Cebu Mission. They will speak November 10 in the Huntsville Stake Center at 10:50 a.m. Karen and Bret Barry of Liberty had a baby girl on October 2. Hello to Everyone in the world (that is everyone that reads OVN), my name is Rachel Kathryn Barry. I was born at McKay-Dee Hospital on October 2, 2002 at 7:49 p.m. My mom was glad to see me arrive so that I wouldn’t kick her ribs anymore. My big brother has been very protective of me since we first met. Young Womanhood Jennifer Linford, 18, daughter of Jeff and Donna Linford of Liberty, has earned her young womanhood award. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint North Fork Ward. She attends Weber State University. Anniversaries Denise L. and Brandon Lee of Eden had a baby boy on October 7. Charlene and Larry Carver Larry J. and Charlene H. Carver, formerly of Farr West, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary October 10 with a surprise open house at the Winterhaven Resort Clubhouse in Washington. They were wed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, October 10, 1952. Born September 19, 1932, in Eden, to Boyd C. and Wanda S. Carver, he graduated from Weber High School and Weber College. He was in the U.S. Army in Italy during the Korean War. He worked at Defense Depot Ogden Box Shop and Print Shop, and Hill Field Print Shop. His interests included farming, sheep, beef cattle, dairying and horses. Born June 9, 1932, in Ogden, to Alonzo T. and Hazel Scott Barrett, she graduated from Ogden High School and attended Weber College. She worked at First Finance in Ogden, Camp Darby in San Luis Obispo, California, and Boyle’s Furniture in Ogden. They organized the Farr West Junior Posse. Members of the LDS Church, he served in the Farr West LDS Stake Sunday School presidency and the branch presidency of the Washington LDS 10th Branch. She was the Relief Society president of the Washington LDS 10th Branch. They served in the Mutual Improvement Association presidency of the Farr West LDS 1st Ward. Currently they reside in the Winterhaven Resort in Washington where she is the office manager, and he is in general contracting. Their children are Ken and Sue Carver, Pauline and Delwyn Westergard, and Tom and Ruth Carver. They have 13 grandchildren. Obituaries Timothy M. Duffield Please send your announcements & photos to: LIBERTY - Timothy Michael Duffield, 16, died Friday, October 11, 2002 in Liberty, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born May 15, 1986 in Cedar City, a son of Daniel Joseph and Gloria Jean Horton Duffield. Tim was a student at Weber High School. He was a member of the Fellowship Bible Church in Liberty. Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball, snow skiing, computers, art, and drawing. Preceding him in death were his grandfathers Ellis Horton and Hobart Duffield. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kaysville Bible Church, 181 No. Flint Street, with Pastor Dominic Gonino officiating. Interment, Liberty Cemetery.
