Dr. Holden tried to bring the MacMahons to to tell all they terms, and threatened inew about them, ' insinuating that same unpleasant family secrets would be exposed if they did not come to terms. Then the MacMahons instituted a suit for libel against Eldridge and Rev. Dr. Holden. The suit progressed, and no less than six other suits had grown out of it, and some church trials were to come, and a wonderful batch of scandal was promised.
