According to the police, she is a user j of drugs and has been on the street, hut they believe that with proper surroundings sur-roundings she could be made to for aake her ways She was arrested Sunday night i" j Patrolman John Cooney, who had been observing her actions lor some j time in police court this morning the patrolman pa-trolman stated that the girl has ac coeted men on the street and that he later saw them follow her to a house where she has been working. The policeman stated that the girl was spending cil the money she could se .1 cure for "elope 'and .hat she was in sufficiently clothed The Howard girl asked to be re- 1 leased in order that she might go to Denver with her sister When the Judge said he would inquire whether the sister waa willing to take her, she ssld that probably the sister had gone loiter when she learned that she was not to be released until the story had I been investigated she confessed that I her sister had left Ogden a week ago and then asked to be allowed to go 1 her mother, who lives at 435 Went Beventh South 6treet In Salt Lake 1 Judge Reeder took the case under advisement to find whether her mother moth-er desires to care for her.
