Show FAMOUS HORSEMAN DIES IN NEW YORK New York. Jan. 28 News was received re-ceived here today of the death at Central Valley. X. Y.. of Colonel Aaron Aa-ron H. Taylor, dean of the breeders of thoroughbred trotting horses of Orange county He was 82 years of age. As a youth Colonel Taylor came to this city and established a sales sta-I sta-I ble at Broadway and Forts-second j street. Among his patrons was I'om-i I'om-i modore Vanderbilt, Major Wood and ! ether prominent hot! euum of that pe. Irlod. In 1G" he returned to Central I alley and commenced the breeding of J trotters and racing hor3es at Rose- lawn Among his famous horses were! Florida, for which he is said to have refused an oTfer of $20,000, nnd Hum- ' bletpnlan. which he sold to the king oi Italy for that sum. The emperor j of Russia was th purchaser of two other horses, Albert L. and Jim Moul-ton, Moul-ton, for which fabulous prices were paid. , |
