Jan. 2 A rear on.l collision col-lision occurred on the Salt take Route at Boulter, lTtnll, vpsteidav foronoon. in which two employ Cb of the dlulng ; t car service, a second cook and a waiter, wait-er, wero slightly injured. Tho wreck was caused by extra freight No. 3G31 crashing into the Ticavily laden passenger pas-senger train No. 1. The passongcr train had passed the freight at Vernon Ver-non and then the engine of tho freight train, weighted with nothing but tho caboose, started to TIntic Junction for a supply of coal and water. The freight train caught up with the passenger pas-senger train on going around a sharp curve and ran into tho rear of it. A "dead head" dining car thrft was at the reav end of tho passenger train prevented Injuries to tho passengers. The damage amounted to about $500. The blame for tho accident has not yet been fixed. |
