Show COLONEL SQUIRES LAID JO REST -Impressive funeral services -were hold yesterday afternoon in Salt I,ako. over the remains of George H. Squires, the well kmwn old soldier. - -. The service were held in the ft. A. K. hall In Salt Lake city at 3: SO p. in., the attendance including Gov- j ernor Spry and other state official. A delegation of e.'ght veterans from 1 Ogden attended the ceremony. The body lay in state in the City and County building from 1 p. m. until un-til 3 p. m., when It was removed to I the G. A. R. hall for the services.' The Rev. P. A. Simpkin officiated. Adresses were made by Governor Spry. John Henry Smith and the Uev. Mr. Slmpkiu, and the attendance was ; large, delepallons being present from Ogden, Provo. Sail Lake and other Utah towns. A lonu funeral cortege followed the remains to the City cemetery, where the Interment was made. |
