G. ig Gowans of the Utah State Industrial jj school, had been elected mayor of ! the camp by a large majority, his Wm opponent being a Salt Lake boy. &21 The campaign in the Utah boy city ijjgj has been a spirited one ever since the ' T camp was opened and the victory of I an Ogden boy is a signal one. "Mayor" Gownns was elected on a platform which called for good government and ' strict regulation, while his opponent made his campaign for votes on a "wide open" policy. The victory for good government candidate is Indicative Indi-cative of the policy to be followed out at tho big assembly of youngsters. nr |
