A federal grand juny probe during the Pocatollo term of tbe federal court for the district of Idaho is the result of evidence in tho hands of the district attorney's office with relation to the existence of an alleged organization formed and operating oper-ating extensively In southern Idaho, tho states of Utah, Oregon and Washington, Wash-ington, for the purposo of leading women into a life of shamo and dealing deal-ing in as well as extensively carrying carry-ing on a flourishing white slave traffic. traf-fic. Tho probe of tho federal grand jury wtfJl be started during the spring1 court session next week and sensational sensa-tional disclosures are expected It will hinge directly on the examination of Quan Ha Ray, a Korean, and C. C. Ostrander, an alleged procurer, who aie charged with inducing by various ruses women and girls who resided at Pocatello and other surrounding cities to go to Ogdon, where they were placed on the white Blave market. The two prisoners aro said to have indicated they will toll all they know about tho manner of conducting the Infamous traffic in tho three states and the system used in inducing young girls to leave their homes only to be forced Into a life of shame when far away from relatives and helpless In the power of the human vultures. The authorities have information leading up to the organization that Is now under inspection, it Is reliably reported re-ported here In federal circles. Representatives Repre-sentatives of It are said to nave operated oper-ated extenslvejy in Salt Lake, Ogden Pocatollo, Boise, Baker City, Portland, Port-land, Spokane and Wallace, Ida. The victims of the procurers are, when secured In southern Idaho, it Is claimed, claim-ed, taken either to Salt Lake or Ogden. Og-den. Usually, however, they are relayed out of Salt Lake to Pocatello and from there taken to Baker City and "farmed" out to the interior in-terior and coast cities. The conditions that were disclosed In the city of Wallace caused Senator Kerns to draft the bi)I and it Is not a law on tho statute books of this stato.
