Show NEGROES CAUSE RIOTING ON TRAIN AUGUSTA. Ga. Oct. 2. Following serious rioting today aboard the first section of a circus train eu route from Columbia, S C, to Augusta, in v hich a white man was hhot to death, a negro was forced to Jump from the rapidly moving train and an attempt ' was made lo rob employes of the circus, cir-cus, wholesale arrest were made by the Augusta police on the arrival ol the train here. Three negroes, one of whom confessed con-fessed a part In the trouble on the train, are in Jail tonight charged with murder and rioting. Murder Shipping Clerk. Paul A. Williams, a Southern Hallway Hall-way shipping clerk at Columbia, was shot to death, his body robbed and I then thrown I mm the train.
