Show PRETTY WEDDING AT PRESBYTERIAN PRESBY-TERIAN CHURCH life B Mrs. Mattle Horn Hessler. Tho First Presbyterian church was the scene of a very pretty wedding Wednesday afternoon, when Miss Mattio Mat-tio V. Horn and Mr. Herbert E. Hess-lor Hess-lor were married, the Rev. John Edward Ed-ward Carver officiating. Tho church was decorated with palms and flowers, when tho wedding party, escorted by tho ushers, Messrs. Wade Johnson, Reinhart Gideon, George Bartlett and Dr. Frank K. Bartlett, marched down tho nlsles to tho tune of Lohengren's familiar strains. Miss Mollio Karus was bridesmaid and Mr. George Horn attended the ! groom. Tho bride was given away by her father. Mr. T. W. Horn. After the wedding service the wedding wed-ding party was taken to the homo of the bride, where a wedding luncheon was served, after which the bride and groom departed on the evening train for Decatur, 111., where they will make their future homo. The bride was gowned In white georgette geor-gette crepe and carried a large bouquet bou-quet of whito roses. Miss Karus woro a dress of whito French mull trimmed with real lace. DRAMA CLUB The Drama club will meet next Saturday, May 19, at 2:30 o'clock, at the home of Mrs. David Eccles, with Mrs. J. Orson Douglas and Mrs. Philip Phil-ip Warren Knlsely as hostesses. The subject for the afternoon will bo "Sir Rabindranath Tagore as Philosopher, Poet and Dramatist," by Miss Druia Kelly. "Gitanjall" (song offerings), Tagore, musical settings by Carpenter. Carpen-ter. Vocalist, .Miss Lillian Wright, and pianist, Miss Alberta Wright. A reading will be given by Mrs. T. Earl Pardoe on "The Cycle of Spring," by Tagore, followed by historian's report by Mrs. Frank G. Bartlett. At 5 o'clock tea will be served, with Miss Oertel Rich and Miss Cleone Rich pouring. |
