The White House marriage license was taken out after the regular hours today, the license clerk having been warned in advance to await for the j arrival of I. H. The license states that .Miss Eleanor Randolph Wilson is 24 years old, white and never married before that Mr. McAdoo is 50 years old. white and married once before, his wife deceased de-ceased Both were registered as residents resi-dents of the District of Columbia. The Rev. Sylvester Beach is the minister named to perform the ceremony. cere-mony. It was not necessary to get a special permit for Mr. Beach from the chief justice of the district to perform per-form the ceremony, as a non-residend pastor. The permit granted him at the time of the Wilson-Sayre nuptials is regarded still in force. Her last day as Miss Eleanor Wilson Wil-son was passed by the oride of tomor row in answering notes, acknowledging acknowledg-ing gifts, packing up her old clothes'' to be sent to poor peisons and playing play-ing a game of tennis with Mr. Mc-i Ad oo on the White House court Miss Wilson lunched with her house guests and parents. Wilson. Mr. and Mrs. Francis B. Sayre, Miss Helen Hunter of Portsmouth, Va Miss Henrietta Sadlemann of Wilmington. Del., Miss Elizabeth Duffield and .Miss Susan Fine of Princeton, N. .L, Mrs. Charles Kellogg of Athens, Pa , and Miss Ma-j jorie Brown, Miss Wilson's cousin, of Atlanta. Ga. A platinum bracelet studded with precious stones and inclosed in a silver sil-ver box, the gift of the senate, was forwarded to Miss Wilson today by Senator Martine of New Jersey, chairman chair-man of the senate gift committee. A note of concratulations accompanied it. |
