Show fSREMEN ARE NOT TO GO ON STRIKE The local members of the Brotherhood Brother-hood of Locomotive firemen' r.tate (hey have received no advices from Chicago regarding the peneral strike, which it bad been announced would bo culled today by President Carter of the order. Like the firemen, the railroad of f'.clals at OeJon stated that tnoy have received no advices In regard to the strike other than what they had read in the press dispatches. Both firemen and officials expressed express-ed the belief that the situation, while very ferlous, will not result in a general gen-eral strike. Late press dispatches are to the effect that tho strike will not bo called, and there Is General rejoicing rejoic-ing over the prospects of complete peace. |
