Show Radio Operators Wanted Are you a radio operator, either; commercial or amatuer, or are you' interested in radio work? Would: you like to serve your country for a year in the Navy? Then you will be interested in a new plan Just announced by th Navy Department, Depart-ment, in the belief of H. H. Deck-ler, Deck-ler, Chief watertender officer in charge of the local Navy recruit-' ing office. Mr. Heckler states that enlistments enlist-ments can now be made in a class of the Naval Reserve known as "V-3," of men from 17 to 35 years of age. They .must be of good character, char-acter, and be able to pass the required re-quired physical examination. Acceptable Ac-ceptable candidates, upon enlistment, enlist-ment, will be transferred to a Radio or Signal School at Los Angeles, or a radio school at San Francisco, where they will receive a four months' course of instruction instruc-tion designed to qualify them for the rating of Radioman 3rd class or Signalman 3rd class in the -Naval Reserve. After completion of the course of instruction students will be given giv-en an opportunity to serve for an additional period of time on active duty at sea or at Naval Shore Jtadio Stations. Pay will range from 21 to 60 , .dollars per month, depending upon initial qualifications and advancement, advance-ment, and all men must agree to serve on active duty not less than one year, including the' four months' schooling.
