Show OBITUARIES Mrs. Laura M. Funk j Funeral services for Mrs. Laura j Vilate Merrill Funk, 69, member ' of a prominent Utah family who I died Monday at 11:30 p. m. in the family home, Richmond, of a heart attack, were conducted today to-day in the Richmond South ward chapel under direction of Bishop E. M. Hicken. She was born May 17, 1875 in Richmond, a daughter of Marriner W. and Maria Ioenza Kingsbury Merrill, early pioneers of Cache valley. She was educated in Richmond public schools and had attended the old Brigham Young college and Utah State Agricultural Agricul-tural college in Logan. Active throughout her life in church work, she was a member of the Benson stake Primary board, and acted as a Relief Society, . Sunday school and Primary Pri-mary association teacher. She was married to Clarence L. Funk November 28, 1894 in the Logan Temple. . Survivors in- j elude her husband, two sons and ' two daughters, Le Roy C. and i ' Cyril R. Funk of Richmond; Car. men F. Lewis of Price, Mrs. Gay-la Gay-la Edwards of Provo and 15 grandchildren. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Joseph F. Merrill, member of the the L. D- S. Council of Twelve, Mrs. Orella Jenson. and Mrs. "Lucy M. Funk, of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Hattie Morrison and Mrs. Anna Mae Hnle of Logan; Mrs. "Nellie Johnson. William and Louis "E. Merrill, and Mrs. Elma Johnson, John-son, of Richmond; Mrs. Lenora Olson of Smithfield. Dr. Melvin C. Merrill, Washington. D. C; Professor Amos N. Merrill of Provo ; Mrs- Ida Van Orden of Lewiston. Ezra Merrill of Poca-tello. Poca-tello. Idaho; Mrs. Loretta Rigby of Rexburg. Idaho; and an adopted adopt-ed brother, William Pope of Rich, mond. |
