Show Announe winners Of Gray Scholarships Sixteen Utah 4-H club members have been awarded 1941 Carl Raymond Gray scholarships by the Union Pacific Railroad to the Utah State Agricultural college, col-lege, for the completion of two or more ' years of outstanding project wor, Miss Fern Shipley, assistant state club leader, announces. an-nounces. Those high school students receiving re-ceiving the scholarships are: Joy Hollingshead of Minersville, Beaver Bea-ver coutny; Alton Reeve, Brigham City, Box Elder county; Ruth Ma rie Jensen, Smithfield, Cache county; Jean Moss, Woods Cross, Davis county; Carol Sargent, Cedar Ce-dar City, Iron County; Dawna Wheeler, Silved City, Juab county; Reuvo Chamberlain, Kanab, Kane county; Dorothy Williams, Devils Slide, Morgan county; Beth- Rees, Woodruff, Rich county; Larene Toone, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake county; Miriam Wilson, Park City, Summit county; Joyce Hymas, Tooele, Tooele county; Leah Wad-ley, Wad-ley, Pleasant Grove, Utah county; Carol Cox, St. George, Washington county; Rosemary McFarland, Ogden, Og-den, Weber county. In each county coun-ty an alternate has also been chosen to be awarded a scholarship scholar-ship in case toe winner fails to take advantage of it. The scholarships, named in hon-of hon-of of the past president of the railroad, are awarded to high school students in counties in the trade territory of the Union Pacific Railroad. The winner in each county is chosen by a com- mittee o fthree from a group ot people recommended by county officials. The third members of the board is designated by the two members selected by the Extension Ex-tension Service director. points considered when choosing the winners include: quality and quantity of 4-H club work project pro-ject work completed, excellence of the records submitted, character char-acter and interests of the individual, indi-vidual, qualities of leadership, community and school activities and scholastic standing. Before the scholarships are made available, the winners enroll en-roll for a four-year course in the school of agriculture or home economics ec-onomics a tthe Utah State Agri-cultural Agri-cultural college.
