Moyle, Democratic Candidate for Governor, is a man of outstanding scholastic training having completed college work tor two doctors degrees at the age of twenty-six. He is a man who knows Utah's two major industries, indus-tries, mining and agriculture, very well 'having worked in mines with pick and shovel, as well as having hav-ing graduated as a mining Engineer. Engin-eer. At the present time he an operator of a farm in Cottonwood and knows first hand the agri-' agri-' cultural problems. He is the first 1 man who in running for Governor 'who announced himself i favor ; of separate boards of control for the University and the Utah State Agricultural college. He is interested inter-ested in the supplemental research conducted at the college and will assist in making available, funds for research that will develop 'alfalfa seed that is resistant to alfalfa wilt, a tomato plant that 'is resistant to the Whie Fly, and 1 a beet seed that is more resistant to the White Fly that causes 'Curly Top in sugar beets. 1 He has done much to assist in the development of small reservoirs reser-voirs in the state to make a supplemental sup-plemental water supply for the dry, parched land of Utatu He is thoroughly familier with the National defense needs. Hte has a knowledge, of the Welfare program of the state and will provide as much assistance as is practical or as any other candidate candi-date who is running for .governor, would provide. He is in favor of a sound teach ers retirement. He is a builder of pay rolls as well as tax rolls and would wisely expend the tax dollar that would, come under his jurisdiction as governor. Compare his ability with any other candidate who is running for governor and you will find that he will excell. |
