The chipped white enamel that was on the chair was rubbed with coarse and then with fine sandpaper sand-paper until smooth. The new seat came next; then flat paint which was allowd to dry 24 hours before be-fore applying enamel. Next, the Seat cover was made with a straight band around the front and across the back terminating in ties at the back corners."
