With a goal in mind to be both informative and entertaining, enter-taining, Chamber board member Edna Schettler, Chamber Director Amanda Peterson, Don Gomes, and the Park City Performers creatively designed the workshop to be just that. Most popular was a cleverly-staged cleverly-staged panel of Park City tourists and employees. Workshop participants discovered dis-covered that they'd been "set-up" as Park City's information experts, while answering questions from transportation schedules and liquor laws to "what do you do for your employees to help them perform better for you." The Chamber of Commerce Com-merce staff had some definite defi-nite ideas on what management manage-ment can do for their employees. "We're encouraging encoura-ging managers with like businesses to get together and plan employee orientation orienta-tion workshops," said Peterson. Peter-son. "For example, employees employ-ees in the lodging industry are subject to many of the same questions, and need to be familiar with information specific to the property management business, as well as other more general community information." That's not my suit The City Council formally declared last Thursday that the city had no participation in a recent lawsuit filed against it. , The case involved the Snyderville Development Co. vs. Ski Park City West Inc., explained City Manager Arlene Loble, but the suit was accidentally filed against Park City Municipal Corporation. Loble joked that this was one suit the city did not have to worry about. "I've kept track of all our suits," she said. The disclaimer of interest, which was approved unanimously, also directed City Attorney Mike McCoy to file articles of incorporation with the state that would clarify the city's title and avoid confusion in the future.
