Garrett of Reno, Nevada, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Manwaring and son Max and daughter Joan of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. John Christensen of Rains, Utah, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Christensen of Mt. Pleasant. They were in Nephl attending the wedding reception for Mr .and Mrs. Eldon Bowles. Mrs. Pearl Ockey has returned home following a major operation at the L D S hospital. She is improving nicely. Guests last week of Mr. and Mrs. Udell R. Jensen were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Carlston and children of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Carlston is a sister of Mrs. Jensen. The Broadhead reunion was held Sunday August 20 at the Paysjn City park. A good reprenestation from four states numbering 250 Samuel D. were in attendance. Broadhead was elected president of the family organization; Grant Broadhead of Salt Lake City and Elmer Broadhead of Nepll were named vice presidents, and Jcen Hobbs of Provo was elected sec retary. A fine program and a delicious lunch were enjoyed by all. The 1951 reunion will be held at Provo, on approximately the same date. W. H. Howell is visiting in Idaho with Mr. and Mrs. Don Miner. Milton is attending summer school at the University of Utah. The descendants of W. H. Warner gathered at Camp Dadandson Sunday, August 20, for the annual reunion. They were seated at a long table, with 142 members in attendance. At the completion of the dinner a fine program and soc ial were enjoyed by all. Out of town members of the family in. attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Snarr, Dr. and Mrs. Tom Bullock of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Ol- pin and two sons, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Warner, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bryan, all of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Warner and two children of Tooele, Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Hansen of American Fork, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Morgan and two children of Goshen, Mr, and Mrs. Evan Bryan and two children of Mona, Mr .and Mrs. Alma Garrett and three children of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Johnson are parents of a daughter born August 22 at Payson hospital. Mrs. John son is the former Norline Tolley. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tolley of Nephl and Bert Johnson of Fountain Green. Mr. and Mrs. Oran Nield and daughter of Afton, Wyoming are guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. K. Johnson. Moreover, as telephones are added, the job becomes more complex and costs (particularly at today's high prices) go up. Keeping abreast of demand for telephone service in Utah has required an expenditure of $18,600,000 since the end of the war. And, if Utah's telephone needs are to be met, large additional amounts of new capital will be needed.
