The meeting has been arranged by the Citizens' Tax Revision League, and In addition to the address by Dr. Nuttali a program of music has been arranged. The committee for East Juab District or which Will L. Hoyt Is chairman, reports that intense interest Is being displayed in the matter of the tax amendments as election day draws near, but that many citizens have been confused as to the real Issues by the mass of argument pro and con appearing In the newspapers and being disseminated by radio. The local committee is urgently advising all citizens and taxpayers to attend this mass meeting and If any questions or doubts remain in the minds of the taxpayers of East Juab County, op portunity will be given for questions. According to the officers of the local committee, there are still very many voters who are as yet not sufficiently informed upon the tax reform program as to decide how to vote, and others who have been confused by the conflicting argu ments upon individual phases of the program. Will L. Hoyt, East Juab District chairman, asserts that the opponents of the reform program have shown a disposition to defeat the whole program if they may but save themselves the possl bility of a tax on intangible prop erty now escaping, or a tax on In comes now untaxed. Dr. Nuttal who will speak at the Friday evening meeting, is eminently qualified to discuss the tax amendments, and the committee is urgently urging all voters to be present. of the tax "The Importance asserts Chairman amendments," Hoyt, "so far outweigh all other Issues before the voters of Utah at this election that voters may be pardoned for failing to get, full.
