A. Robison motored down from Bait Lake City Thursday to attend the funeral of Karl Carver. MLsa Vivian Tranter was a Salt Lake visitor laat week end. Her mother, Mrs. T. W. Tranter accompanied her home after visiting for several weeks with her children in that city. Mrs. Elizabeth Henroid returned to Salt Lake City Sunday after handing the summer in Nephi. She returned with her daughter, Mrs. Bert Russell, with whom she will spend the winter. Misses Maxine Belliston, The Elizabeth Foote. Martha Howard and Florence Duckworth visited recently in Salt Lake City. On the way to the city they went through the Fish Hatchery at Sprlngville. Mrs. Cleo Reid and Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Lunt are in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Reid was operated on in the L. D. S. Hospital last Monday. Reports are that she is getting along as well as can be expected. The Daughters of the Pioneers will meet Wednesday, November 5 at 7:30 in the City Hall. A full attendance Is desired. The follow ing program has been arranged for the evening : Talk. Mrs. V. M. Foote, Piano solo. Elizabeth Foote; Reading, Malda Foote. and a piano solo, Lucille Evans. The Purvirlo Beehive Class met at the home of Miss Blanch Garrett, The class Thursday. October 23. made candy and worked on scrap-book- s. An enjoyable time was had by all. Those present were Myrth Kendall, Dorothy Johnson. Sylvia Worwood, Anna Coulson, and the teachers. A Hallowe'en party, which was gay and delightful In every detail, was enjoyed at the home of Miss Afton Greenwood by members or the Lucky 'Leven gang and their partners. Clever Hallowe'en decorations were arranged throughout the entertaining rooms. Five small tables of progressive games were played. Cleo Petty and Fred Morgan won the prizes for highest scorers. A delicious luncheon was enjoyed by the following: Misses Grace Jenkins, Elda Ostler, Ora Judd, Maurine Kendall, Donna Gar-bet- t, Ruth and Beth Lunt,. Beth McCay. Margarett Parkes. Marjorle Winn, Fred Morgan, Floyd Andrews, Cleo Petty, Gerald Belliston, Allen Chrlstensen, Rex Haycock, Arthur Latimer, Tom Belliston, Clarence Cowan, Alex Cowan, Alma Burton and the hostess. Miss Afton Ideal Rulon and Grant Brough spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Salt Lake City. Frank Hudson of Fillmore came to Nephi Wednesday to attend the funeral of Geo. R. Howard. Mrs. T. O. Carter Is spending a week in Ephraim with her son. Earl for Mrs. Margaret Gease of Provo visited at the hdme of her mother, Mrs. Harry Foote this week. Mrs. George Bowles of Provo spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Bowles and family. Mr. and Mrs. Serulen Houghton of Starr announce th arrival of a baby girl, born October 28th. Mrs. Brlgham Garrett and son Duyane visited last week with their son and brother Lawrence Garrett Mr. and wife at Lund, Nevada. Garrett is principal of the Lund High School. Mrs. Clara Potter of Farmlngton visited at the home of her sister, Mrs. Harry Foote this week. Mrs. Potter was accompanied by her daughter, Miss Maxine Potter and Miss Helen Strlngham of Bountiful.
