According to Paul Wamock, president, the restructuring move is a result of three basic efforts: First in a consolidation of the administrative, marketing and engineering functions into the facilities presently occupied by the factory. The move is now in its final stages. And as a result of the consolidation, Tele mation is actively pursuing the sale of the administration building, which would greatly reduce operating costs. Secondly, a recently completely survey of all Telemation products to determine those of marginal profitability, concluded that several should be deleted from the hardware line. Third, Telemation has recently reduced staff at both the corporate level and in the field, both domestic and international, in an effort to reduce overhead. Late in 1976 Telemation began discussions regarding the possible acquisition of all or part of the company. To date, these conversations have not developed into a satisfactory agreement. George Hatch, treasurer and director of Telemation, told the Review if these discussions had reached a definitive stage by the Feb. 10th meeting, the stockholders will be advised at that time.
