Show ENTERPRISE I I Cited for unfair trade Nordstrom Supermarkets named in suit The Utah Trade Commission (UTQ has filed a series of unfair trade practices suits against three local supermarkets. The suits were filed in Third District Court by the State Attorney Generals office. Filed against Budget Market, Inc., d.b.a. Michaels Food Mart, Smith Management Corp., and Harmon City, Inc., the lawsuits have been brought under the Utah Unfair Practices Act and the Utah Trade Commission Act. The action claims the three markets have advertised merchandise at less than cost with the intent and purpose of inducing the purchase of other merchandise at a greater profit and cost to the public. The complaint suggests these practices have and will impair fair and honest com- petition... injure the public welfare andor otherwise injure competition. The UTC seeks injuc-tiv- e and restraining action by the court, to enjoin the defendants from a continuance claims.
