Show THE NATIONAL ENTERPRISE, SEPTEMBER 7, 1977 Pollution reg still troubles KCC Kennecott Copper Corp. will go to bat again against a new air emission standard which could cost the corporation $30 million in new equipment should it be passed by the Utah Air Conservation Committee and accepted at a public hearing. KCC struck out in its May attempts to eliminate the regulation which prohibits gases to bypass a desulfurization unit. The committee passed the new regulation, and expected it to go before a public hear- ing. But executive secretRickers opted to hold ary a second vote on the issue, since three new committee A1 members were appointed after the vote. A meeting has been scheduled for Sept. 16 to reconsider the amendment.
