The history of U and I dates back to 1891 when the and I Incorporated has announced plans for construction of a y headquarters office building at 711 East South Temple Street in Salt Lake City. The announcement and unveiling of the architects concept were made by Rowland M. Cannon, president of the corporation, at a special luncheon, March 17, at Hotel Utah honoring the eighty-fift- h Anniversary of the company. Construction of the new office building is expected to begin in late Spring with completion scheduled for midsummer, 1977.
