Show FAIKYIEW. Miss Iva Carlston spent the week end at home with her parents. She returned to her school at the L. D. S. University Sunday. Swen 0. Neilson and John O. Carlson Carl-son went to Salt Lake City to attend at-tend the Lincoln Day banquet. Vera Sanderson went to Idaho Thursday where he has employment. Mrs. Sanderson accompanied him as fur as Ogden where she will visit for some time. James It. Sanderson came home from the desert last week. On the e. e of February 5th. a number of the friends of Mrs. W. E. Pencil e:v e her surprise party in honor of 'her birthday. The evening even-ing was spent m games and social .chat. About twenty-five guests were present. A dainty luncheon was served. Friends and relatives of Mrs. Sidney Sid-ney S. Sanderson spent a very pleasant pleas-ant afternoon at her home Feb. 7th, the event being her birthday anniversary. anniver-sary. Dinner was served to the following fol-lowing guests: Grandma Sanderson, Mr. and Mrs. Jordon Brady, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Nordstrom, Mrs. John Christensenr, Mrs. Hans Madsen. Mrs1 Lewis Peterson, Henry W. Sanderson, Sander-son, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Sidney S. Sanderson. Mr. and Mrs. Amos Anderson of Idaho are guests at the home of Mr. Anderson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson. Mrs. William Triplett and two children came from Idaho last week and are visHing relatives here. Loren Brady went to Myton this week. Amasa Rasmussen and son, Francis Fran-cis are spending a month in Wyoming. Wyom-ing. : . Elder Lewis Mower, who spent the past two years on a mission in Virginia, Vir-ginia, has lately returned home. He was one of the speakers at the wcrd meeting February 9th. On Wednesday evening February 12th. the choir and a number 6f the (r;ni!s of I p" :s Mower gave him a we'fonie horne ptrty. An informal program of songs and speeches was given. Refreshments were served to about forty persons. The ladies literary club met at the home of Mrs. J. W. Christiansen February 12th. A Lincoln program was given. . Mrs. Chas. Tucker gave the biography of Lincoln. Mrs. Hans Madsen gave some of his stories and anecdotes. The club ladies sang the "Star Spangled Banner" an.! some business was discussed. Fourteen Four-teen ladies enjoyed the social hour. Delicious refreshments were served. The M. I. A. will give a valentine ball on Friday evening. Every lady is invited to come out and enjoy en-joy it. The public schools had an attendance attend-ance of 60 per cent last week and this wee!; they have increased to eighty-five per cent. There have been no cases of influenza in school. Martin Nordstrom and Roland Pritchett went to Salt Lake City this week. |
