Show Mrs. R. N. Bennet of this cl y received a telegram this week th:it her son, Reid Burns, is now servlig with the military police in Germany. For months there has been some anxiety expressed as to Reld's welfare. wel-fare. Some thought that perhaps he had been taken a prisoner. The folks at home had not heard from him since the Armistice was signed. Neil' M. Madsen of Price was a Mount Pleasant visitor this week. Mr. Madsen has sold out most of his mercantile business at Schofleld and has gone into the automobile business busi-ness at Price with M. Brafflt. They intend to have the biggest automobile business in that part of the state. They have one of the largest garages and carry a fine line of cars. Anna Monroe, little daughter of Mrs. Roy Monroe, fell from the roof of a cellar last Tuesday and dislocated dislocat-ed her right shoulder. The little girl is doing nicely at present unde - the care of Dr. Winters. Mayor and Mrs. W. D. CahHland, John Gunderson, James Monsen and C. W. Sorensen of this city were In Salt Lake City to, attend the great Lincoln Day celebration at the Hotel Utah. Wilford Winkler was taken to the L. D. S. hospital at Salt Lake City Monday to receive treatment for a nervous breakdown. Mr. Winkler has been 111 for a number of weeks. James Syndergaard returned to Salt Lake City Wednesday to attend to his work after spending a few days ' visiting relatives In this city. MrB. Syndergaard remained to visit longer. Miss Alta Stansfield came home Wednesday from Junction where sha has been teaching. School closed for the season on account of the Influenza. In-fluenza. Mrs. Charles A. Zabrlskie went to Salt Lake City Tuesday to visit with her parents while her husband went to the desert herding sheep. Alfred Drage returned Monday from Burley, Idaho where he has l-ecn during the past few weeks looking look-ing ovor land in various localities. William L. Madsen went to Salt Lake City Monday on a business trip. He will go to Ogden before returning re-turning home. Lorenzo Jeffs of St. Anthony, Ida. was a Mount Pleasant visitor during the week. Mr. Jeffs Is a wealthy farmer in that part of the country. Lawrence A. Olsen of Salt Lake City was a Mount Pleasant visitor this week. Mr. Olsen was a former resident of this city. Mrs. E. W. Wall, Mrs. A. Crane, Mrs. W. K. Madsen, Mrs. Hannah Barnett ami Mrs. R. Whlttaker were dinner guests of Mrs. E. C. Johnson |
