W. E. EVANS Bank Commissioner, FAIRVIEW Miss Delia Marshall of Arizona was the guest of Miss Lura Tanner the past week. Mrs. Silas Brewer and Miss Ruth Peterson of Salt Lake City spent a few days with relatives here last week. Abram Stevens came from the reservation to attend the funeral of his nephew, Kemmer B. Stevens. Stanley Cox, Miss Belva Cox and Mrs. N. B. Pritchett motored to Provo last week and Miss Verona Cox and Mrs. Laurel Miner returned home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Garlic are rejoicing re-joicing over the arrival of a baby boy at their home this week. Mrs. Annie Peterson Brady, wife of Feurman Brady, died at Fairview October 22 from pneumonia following follow-ing Influenza. She is the first victim to die at Fairview as a result of the prevailing epidemic. She leaves, besides her husband, four children, two boys an'd two girls, and a host of relatives and friends. A short service will be held at the cemetery on Thursday. Twenty-five cases of influenza are reported this week at Fairview. The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darius Sanders died from influenza Thursday morning. An outdoor funeral service was held at the home of Mrs. Randsome Stevens for Kemmer Bohne Stevens, on Satnrday, October 19th. Heber S. Olsen, Si'dney . Sanderson, Eli A. Day, Sr. and Bishop H. P. Hansen were the speakers. All spoke well of the life and character of the boy, and gave sympathy and consolation to those bereaved. Mrs. Coombs, Miss Mae Madsen, Henry Terry, and H. P. Hansen sang "Sometime We'll Understand" and "Oh My Father." Many beautiful flowers were given and many friends attended the services. ser-vices. The family have the sympathy sym-pathy of the community in their sad bereavement. Kemmer B. Stevens was nineteen years old. He was born at Kemmerer, Wyoming. He received most of his education in tlie schools of Montpelier, Idaho where he graduated from the eighth grade several years ago. He- also attended one year high school there, and one year at the North Sanpete High School at Mount Pleasant. The past year he worked in the mines where he met his death. He received re-ceived his card- to appear at Manti for examination while he was in the Provo hospital and had been placed in Class A, No. 1. He was a boy of good habits, had a fine physiqque and would soon have been in the service of Uncle Sam. Those who came from out of town to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Bohne and sons, Leslie and Emmett, Mrs. Bertha Hansen, Mrs. Alfred Seely and Watt Houtz, all of Mount Pleasant.
