He was blessed with many fine partners. associates and secretai ies with whom he shared his considerable talents and accomplishments. He prepared the initial Utah Rules of Civil . He is preceded in death by a son and a granddaughter, as well as by his wife. Vera. He is also survived by two brothers. Carl and Conrad. and by many nieces and nephews. Arthur and Vera also then into welcomed home and assisted many others from all parts of the world with whom they cherished loving ties over many years. Arthur served gratefully and faithfully m many LDS Church callings, including bishop, high counselor, organist and home teacher in the Monument Park West (Foothill) Slake. Recently he served as the LDS Church legal counsel and representative tor the Brigham Young University Jerusalem Center in Jerusalem. Israel. There he assisted to secure the Center's tease and government authorization for full occupation in 1988. He also served as President of the Jerusalem Branch ot the Church while there in residence. His unfailing commitment to the Restored Gospel is his greatest legacy to his family. A prominent member of the Utah State Bar. Arthur was "the lawyer's with unexam lawyer Procedure, effective since 1950. and was a member of that Supreme for Court committee over 35 years. He served as Utah State Bar Commissioner taught civil trial and procedure practice at the U of U College of Law was Utah Stale Delegate to the A.B.A,. of House Delegates" President of the A. Arthur was horn April 30, 1914, in Fairview. Utah to Carl Nielsen and Inger Marie Hansen. Growing up in Fairview. he later graduated from Snow College in 1934 and from U of U College of Law m 1937. Arthur married Vera Richards in the Salt Lake Temple he in 1938. Although practiced law in Salt Lake City he returned often to Sanpete and enjoyed its surroundings and people. He spent summers on the mountain and winters in Judge Tibbs courtroom. Arthur was an exceptionally fine father . and husband who dWifed his priorities and energies to providing and guiding his children. He is survived by ten children: R. (Sharon): Ralph N.
