North plus . MANTI One of the culminating events of the Sanpete County Fair is the gigantic parade held on Saturday afternoon in Manti. This year some major changes will take place in the parade. To facilitate an earlier finish time in preparation for the parade, the time has been changed to 5 p.m. This will give everyone along the parade route much more time to casually walk through the exhibits and enjoy the carnival rides before heading for the rodeo. After a heated discussion, the fair board has decided to allow candy to be thrown again this year after last years ban, but with the following stipulations: 1) candy may only be thrown from a float with an adult riding on it, not including the driver; 2) UHP will be out in force to ensure that youngsters are not running alongside the floats; and 3) search and rescue deputies will be posted at every comer to assist UHP in their efforts. Officials hope that those operating and riding floats will use discretion in throwing items from floats.
