Otteson, who recently returned for the Lamb Day Homecoming celebration, spent his first 12 years on the family farm in Birch Creek and moved into Fountain Green after the family home burned in 1941. Otteson graduated from Moroni High School and Snow College where he was editor of the college yearbook and class valedictorian. He graduated from BYU with a major in accounting and obtained his MBA degree at Indiana University in Bloomington. An active member of the LDS Church, he has held the position of bishop, stake high councilman, stake executive secretary and ward clerk. PLEASANT The North Sanpete Hawks will kick off a new football season Friday in Heber City under a new head coach, Gary Stears. Action will begin at 7:30 p.m. Last season the only victory the Hawks had was over the Wasatch Wasps who are certainly hoping to get even this time. However, Coach Stears has some excellent returning starters from last year. He says he is impressed with the good depth of the team and with their attitude. These kids want to win, the coach said. Looking at the backfield, two seniors, Chad Gordon and Bret Jorgensen and junior, Brad Poulson will probably see action.
