This will not affect the rates to individual consumers, however. Spring City will be getting Colorado River Storage Project power at the amounts that had been alloted in the past. The last couple of years CRSP was not storing surplus water due to the heavy amounts of moisture and flood threats. Cities using CRSP power were able to buy more inexpensive power during this time. This year they will be filling their reservoirs, therefore the cities using the CRSP power will be getting only their allotments. For Spring City this means that we will have to use more of the Hunter II power, thus, the city will be using more of the expensive power along with the CRSP power.
