Show Editor Pyramid: Permit me space in your valuable paper to reply, briefly, to the plans and suggestions of our ten Citizens in last week's issue of the Pyramid, urging the defeat of the proposed electric light bonds. It is very evident these gentlemen know very little of the question they are undertaking to discuss and to - advise the tax-payers aside, ofcourse, from the very large i debtedness we are creating. Their first question is to defeat the Bonds, and their third propos -tion is for the city to buy current from the Teluride Power Company. 1 How any one could conceive of such a proposition as embodied in these two propositions is more than one of ordinary intelligence can comprehend. compre-hend. My position on this Electric Light Question is, that in the event that the Bonds carry, that the City Council Coun-cil will not rush into the erection of v a new plant without first thoroughly considering the advisability of purchasing pur-chasing current from the Teluride Power Company. The offer their representative, Mr. Owen, made the city at the last Mass Meeting, appealed to me very favorably, Con sidering our financial condition. I believe we can buy current from the Teluride Power Company at about as low a figure as we can generate it and pay interest on $23,000 Bonds required to install and. eauipe a new plant. I certainly favor buying current cur-rent from the Teluride Power Company Com-pany provided we can get a short term Contract, with, extension privileges, privi-leges, at 3 cents per Kilo-Watt Hour. At the expiration of this contract we will be in a position to judge which will be the better to continue to buy current from the Teluride Power Company or erect a new plant. And furthermore, by that time our financial difficulties would be adjusted. I urge, not as an employee, em-ployee, nor an interested party in the sale of the local plant, but as a citizen, that all tax-payers come out and vote, for the bonds and thereby get possession of the Electric Light Plant.
