Show FRED EDLER DIES AT CAMP FREMONT, CAL. Fred Edler, who has been training at Camp Fremont, died October 14, from Pneumonia. He had been ill only a short time and was improving and almost able to be out of bed. Sun-'day Sun-'day evening he was feeling exceptionally except-ionally well when he went to sleep, but when the nurse passed his cot during the night she found him dead. His body was sent to his home at Fountain Green and open air services were held at his home. The funeral was very largely attended, showing respect to our departed soldier and sympathy to those left to mourn his loss. The speakers were J. E. Sorensen and J. L. Nielson, both of Fountain Green. Their talks were filled with patriotism and with love and sympathy. sym-pathy. Besides the appropriate music mu-sic furnished by the chair, Bishop J. T. Oldroyd sang, "The Service Flag." When Fred took his examination at Manti he past one hundred per cent showing what a perfect man he was. He was loved and respected by every, one who knew him, and he will be missed very much." ' He is survived by his sister, Lizzie Edler and his brother, Arthur Edler. His body was taken to Manti for burial. bur-ial. Many people accompanied the body to the cemetery. Taps were sounded at the grave. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the mourners. |
