Show Alvin E.Jordan Dies In Fall From Truck Alvin E. Jordan, 49, a resident of Pleasant Grove and a nephew of Joseph Jordan of this city, died in the Cedar City hospital of a fractured frac-tured pelvis suffered Thursday morning mor-ning when he was thrown from the top of a truck 30 feet to the bottom cf a ravine near Cedar City. Mr. Jordan was fixing a canvas on the top of the machine. As the car neared a grade, Walter Jordan, a son, whe was driving, lost control when the brakes failed to operate. The machine struck the abutment cf a bridge crossing the ravine, catapulting cat-apulting Mr. Jordan to the rocks 30 feet below. The son 0f Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Jordan, Mr. Jordan was born in Mt, Pleasant, and had resided in various towns in Utah and Oregon. He moved to Pleasant Grove from Coalville in 1930. Surviving are his widow, seven sons and daughters, Mrs. William Smith, Brigham City; June, Walter, Walt-er, Clovis, Leontrd. Cleo, and Phyllis Phyl-lis Jordan, Pleasant Grove; tu bi-.!hers, L. E. Jordan, Entermisc, Ore., and D. H.Jordan, Salt Lake, and a sister, Mrs. Fannie J. Boyd, Morgan. Funeral services will be conducted in the Pleasant Grove L. D: S. chapel chap-el Sunday neon. Graveside services and burial will be in Logan City cemetery Sunday at 5:30 p. m. |
