Show Couple Observe 53rd Wedding Anniversary i Mr and Mrs. Peter Peterson observed ob-served their fifty-third wedding anniversary December 11 with 26 members of the family, including children and grandchildren present pres-ent at the family home. The evening eve-ning was spent in games and reminiscing. remi-niscing. Mr. Peterson, son of Andrew An-drew and Mrs. Annie Maria Hansen Han-sen Olsen Peterson, was Iborn here on September 27, 1860, where he has lived since, except for ten years spent pioneering at Indian-ola, Indian-ola, north of Fairview. Mr. Peterson has been very active ac-tive in L. D. S. church work and civic affairs, having filled a mission mis-sion in Virginia 1888-1890, bishop at Indianola, 1892-1902, second counselor to Bishop James C. Peterson Pe-terson of Fairview, 1906-1913, and is now class leader of the Fairview South ward high priests' quorum. He was a city councilman at Fair-view Fair-view from 1885 to 1888 and again -. from 1918 to 1924, and Fairview city treasurer, 1916 to 1918. Mrs. Celestla M. Terry Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otis L. Terry, was born here December 28, 1860. She has been a Relief so-cety so-cety teacher and worker for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Peterson were married December 11, 1878, in the St. George L. D. S. temple. Their ten sons and daughters are all living: Mrs. Cemilia M. Shepard and Bishop Andrew L. Peterson, Mt. Pleasant; Peter L. Peterson, Manti; Laurin V. Peterson, Provo; Mrs. Arimita clement, Magna; Mrs. Mary M. Rigby, Mrs. Sarah Rigby, Mrs. Lucile Madsen' and Mrs. Mirl Jensen, Fairview; LeRoy E. Peterson, Ephraim; 46 grandchildren grand-children and 7 great-grandchildren |
