Show GOLDEN WEDOING IS OBSERVED BY I. PLEASANT COUPLE Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Bairton were honored at a djinner piven by their children last Sunday in honor of their golden wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Barton are the parents of foiir daughters, Mrs. James C. Johansen, of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. I. J. Mc Kell and Mrs. A. N. Veadell of Ogden, and Mrs. D. F. Olson of Brigham City, and two sons W. I. Barton of Ogden and Hugh Barton of M', Pleasant, all of whom and fifteen -grand children were present pres-ent at the golden wedding celebration. celebra-tion. Mrs. Barton, who is a daughter of Samuel H. and Harriet Moore Allen, early Utah pioneers, was born in Ephnaim, March 3, 1860 and came to Mt. Pleasant with her parents the same year. She was marr'ed o Mr. Barton in 1877 by W. S. Seely, first bishop o-f Mt. Pleasant, and the family has resided here since. She has been an active L. D. 3. eburch worker and has served as counsellor, treasurer and president o-f the South wa-d relief society. Mr. Barton was born in Bountiful December 25, 1852. His parents, John and Susanna Wilkinson Barton were also among Utah's p-ioneer settlers. set-tlers. He has resided in Mt. Pleasant Pleas-ant since 1859 and has fulfilled many offices of trust in the community com-munity and has served as ward ; teacher, and high counsellor in North Sanpete Stake.
