By Special Correspondence Wedding Bells Ring In the Salt Lake Latter-day Saint temple on August 14th wedding bells rang out and Miss Elaine Jensen became the bride of Mr. Earl Bowles of Nephi. The newlyweds were honored August 24th at an open house from 4 till 8 p. m. at the home of the bride's parents in Fairview. i Among the 300 guests who called during the day were Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Revere Hansen of Logan; Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. La Vern Hansen of Ogden; Og-den; Mr. and Mrs. Blain Hansen of Tremonton, uncles and aunts of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Chamberlain and their daughter, Blanch Chamberlain of Delta. The lovely bride, a daughter of Mayor and Mrs. Lavern Jensen, Jen-sen, was gowned in a draped dress of white crepe and wore an orchid corsage. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bowles of Nephi. The young couple, following a honeymoon , trip to California, will make their home in Logan where Mr. Fowles will attend the U. S. A. C. Home again after vacationing in California and Nevada is Mayor May-or and Mrs. Lavern Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Christensen. Showing them good times at Las Vegas were Mr. 'and Mrs. Fer-man Fer-man Brady. They also visited in Elko, Los Angeles, and down the coast to San Francisco. Up from Salt Lake City visiting visit-ing with the D. R. Carlstons is Mrs. Nellie Carlston, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Edda Graham and Mrs. Elnora Jenkins entertained at a dinner Saturday evening in honor hon-or of Mr. and Mrs. George Graham Gra-ham of Ogden. Mrs. John Burn-side' Burn-side' was also hostess to Mr. and Mrs. Graham on Tuesday. A chicken dinner was served to twelve guests. Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Zuber were host and hostess Sunday to relatives, rela-tives, Mrs. William Rudman, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Rudman, Dr. and Mrs. N. L. Allen, all of Salt Lake City and to Mrs. Allen's mother of Philadelphia, Pa. Returning Re-turning to Salt . Lake City with them for a week's visit was Kathleen Kath-leen Zuber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Zuber. Mrs. Lewis Rigby spent a very enjoyable week end at Salt Lake City visiting with Mrs. Fred Green, a missionary companion of Mrs. Rigby's, and Mrs. John Bailey of Purue, Idaho. Mrs. Parker Miner was hostess to fifteen guests on Sunday. She served a chicken dinner to them in honor of her husband's birthday birth-day anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. George Ulher and their daughter, Carol Jean of San Diego, Calif, are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lew Peterson. The Ushers are making a tour of U-tah U-tah and the southern Utah parks. Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. Peterson accompaned them to Salt Lake City' where they spent dn enjoyable enjoy-able day at the temple grounds. Mrs. Usher and Mrs. Peterson are sisters. Mr. and Mrs. George Marin and their two children and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Budvarsen and children were here from San Diego, Di-ego, Calif, last week. While here they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lew Peterson. Richard Budvarson, son of Mrs. Beatrice Budvarson of San Diego, Calif, and nephew of Mrs. Lew Peterson,' Mrs. Birdella Terry and Mrs. John Frank Pritchett will be a Fairview visitor in a few days. Mr. Budvarson and his Oklahoma fiancee are arriving here to be wed in the Manti L D S temple The Mrs. Budvarson to be, will wear a weding gown made of the parachute her husband, a paratrooper para-trooper in the U. S. Service, once used. Mr. Budvarson used the parachute in Alaska where he was a volunteer for special parachute para-chute testing in extra frigid countries. While here the young couple will be honored at a wedding wed-ding reception in Milburn. Mrs. Altha Mower was hostess to her bridge club Thursday evening. eve-ning. Mrs. Mower served refreshments refresh-ments to members, Mrs. B,ert Christensen, Mrs. Marge Pance, Mrs. Emma Sidwell, Mrs. Rubv Hansen, Mrs. Clista Mower, Mrs. Wilma Pance, Mrs. Jeroma Madsen, Mad-sen, Mrs. Elva Hamilton, Mrs. Sanoma Pance, and to special guests, Mrs. Erma Bills, Mrs. Lillian Lil-lian Brady, and Mrs. Zella Livingston Liv-ingston of Price. Mrs. Emma Sidwell won first prize and the traveling and consolation prizes were won by Mrs. Bert Christensen. Christen-sen. Mrs. D. M. Faddis of Price was a guest Monday at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Mower. Mrs. G. B. Smith spent Saturday Satur-day in Provo visiting with he daughter. Dean Jones of Spokane, Washington Wash-ington and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jones and children of Richland Wash, are homeward bound after a ten days visit in Fairview with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jones an'' other relatives and friends. Mr and Mrs. Ted Jones and family of Salt Lake City spent a few d,iy visiting here. Leon Nielson and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lasson attended the funeral fu-neral services, Monday in Orom of Mr. Charles D. Terry, who died Thursday in a Provo hospital. Mr. Terry is a brother to Mrs. Nielson and a former resident of Fair view. Mr. and Mrs. Nielson visited vis-ited in Orem two days with other out of town relatives attending the services. Mrs. Martin Sanderson and her granddaughter. Joan Graham of Manti spent a few days last week in Bingham Canyon visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Herman Sanderson and their children, Phyllis and Phillip. Mr. and Mrs. Ted E. Madsen are now motoring back to their home in Washington, D. C. after spending about three weeks at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin II. Madsen anc' Mr. Vern Cox. While they were here Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Madsen and family including Mr. and Mrs. Reed I. Madsen, Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn D. Madsen, Fairview; Mr. and Mrs. Plain M. Madsen, Salt Lake City Mr. and Mrs. Ted E. Madsen of Washington, D. C. and their six grandchildren spent several da-fishing, da-fishing, boating, and enjoying camp life at Fisli Lake. Family dinners and gatherings were also al-so enjoyed at the different homes. Ted has made Washington his home for t he past seven years, where he has been employed by the government. Miss Blanch Jensen and Mr. Kent Jensen of Salt Lake Citv. spent last week end visiting in Fairview at the home of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Peterson. Mrs. Mae Jensen, after attending attend-ing summer school in California is snending a week at the home of her mother. Mrs. Hans Madsen. Mad-sen. before returning to her home in Kichfiled. The Daughters of the L'tah Tio-neers Tio-neers of North Bend Camp will commence their monthly meetings meet-ings Sept. Sth. Place of meeting will be announced. Showing Mrs. rhilinda Turpin a good two and a half weeks in California was Mrs. Turpin's daughter, Oleah and her family, who live in Los Angeles. Among the places of interest Mrs. Turpin visited wore Hollywood, Beverly Hills and the ocean. A demonstration of White House products was civen Tuesday Tues-day at the home of Mrs. Emm.'' Sidwell by Ella Cox of Manll. Games for pri.es were played and won bv Altha Mower. Emma Sidwell. and Helen Lasson was given door prize for the largest purchase made.
