Wells. Mr. Hansen was born ,:u Denmark, January 21 1858 and emigrated M Utah at tne age of 22. He has been actively engaged in religious affairs since ie jo. ned the L. D. S. church, and filled a mission in the Nortn-ern Nortn-ern Slates Mission from 1898 to ls'00, and has held positions as Hig.i Councilman and Sunday school teacher for many years. Mrs. Hansen was born in Moroni Mo-roni January 20, 18ti4. Before her marriage she taught school in the typical log room with dirt floor and d.rt root. After their marriage Mr. Hansen Han-sen worked as a miller in Mt. Pleasant for sixteen years, at Gunnison for two vears, and then ne purchased tihe Phoenix Roller Mill at Fountain Green which he cperated for fifteen years. Eight children were born to :he couple, six of whom are living: liv-ing: El.Uian Ivory. Rose E. Guy-man. Guy-man. Hyrum N. Hansen, Farrell L. Hansen. Cleo M. Johnson of Fountain Green, and Ruth E. Samuels of Salt Lake City. They nave twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. A reception and banquet will be held in their honor at their nome Sunday, March 30 for all relatives, and on March 31 open house will be hold between 1 p. m. and 4 p. m. for all friends who wish to call. A fine custom ihas been established estab-lished by this couple. Every Sunday Sun-day afternoon luncheon is served :o all relatives or friends who .v.sh to spend the afternoon with them. They are still enjoying fair health. Mr. Hansen continues as a coal dealer while Mrs. Hansen oes her own housework and cooking. |
