Show I FOUNTAIN GREEN I B" Soer'al Ccrrespond3nce ' Marriage Announced Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Green announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter, Doris and Private Howard How-ard Jay Draper, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Draper of Mt. Pleasant. The marriage took place in Salt; Lake City on September 1st with Bishop John A. Harter performing the ceremony. Private Draper is stationed at Camp Bitner, North Carolina. Births Announced Mr. and Mrs. Royal Ivory have announced the birth of their first grandchild, a girl, born Sept. 10 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Mr. and Mrs. Carl S. Wetmore. The mother was, before her marriage, Miss Hanna Ivory. Mr. and Mrs. Ciarence W. Hansen Han-sen has announced the birth of a granddaughter, Friday, September Septem-ber the eighth at the Payson hospital hos-pital to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Sudweeks of Nephi. The mother was formerly Miss Jesse Hansen of Fountain Green. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin P. Oldroyd announce the birth of a grandson Tuesday, September 12th at the Madsen hospital in Mt. Pleasant. The parents are Mr. and Mrs. Mont K. Jensen of Moroni and the mother was, before her marriage, mar-riage, Miss Jean Oldroyd of Fountain Foun-tain Green. Social News Mrs. Laura Llewellyn of Dallas, Texas is here visiting with relatives rela-tives and friends. Mrs. Wilford Coombs and her daughter, Dorothy have returned home after spending the summer with relatives in the East. Mrs. Arthur Christensen, who has been very ill at the Provo hospital, is reported to be improving. im-proving. Members of the Elite club enjoyed en-joyed a hot dinner at Nephi Canyon Can-yon Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Iiay Holman of Provo were Fountain Green visitors vis-itors Sunday. Mrs. Lillie Robertson and son, Dick attended funeral services for her nephew, Dewey Cook at American Fork, Monday, September Septem-ber 10th.- Mrs. Jewel Globe and children of Nephi visited daring the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence W. Hansen at Fountain Green. Mrs. Ella Johnson and daughter, daugh-ter, Janice and son, Dennis have left for Venice, California where they will spend the winter. Mrs. James Swensen and Mrs. Floyd Jensen .of Moroni visited Sunday with relatives at Fountain Foun-tain Green. Mrs. Sina Jacobsen was a Provo City visitor during the week. The following teachers have been employed for the Fountain Green schools this year: Princi-: pal, Jos. R. Christiansen; Clifford Maver, Willard Black, Roy Millet, Jesse Oldrovd, Mildred Mower, Riioda D. Robertson, Ruby Ivory, and Ethel Madsen. George Holman is recovering from an appendicitis operation at the Pavson hospital. Ph. M. 3 c Adria V. Jacobsen of the Naval Unit, stationed at Mare Island, California, has been notified noti-fied that her furlough is due within a verv short time and she will be glad to return home for a visit. Four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Lamb of Wales. Laura Llewellyn of. Dallas, Texas and Mrs. Anna Cook and Caroline Johnson of Fountain Green motored to Provo Pro-vo Sundav and were the guests of the fifth sister, Mrs. Zina Cook where they had a most enjoyable visit. A sister-in-law, Mrs. L. Edward Nielson and her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Jean Reynolds were a-mong a-mong the guests. Friends and relatives were grieved to hear of the death Sat-) urday of Dr. Evan L. Aiken of Provo. The widow is the former Ruth Lund of Fountain Grreen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs: Niels Lund, prominent citizen of this city, and to Mrs. Aiken and family fam-ily her host of friends and relatives rela-tives in Fountain Green extend their herrtfelt sympathy in their bereavement. Mr. Ralph Cook underwent an appendicitis operation Monday evening at the Dice hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Bailey and daughters, Mary Louise and Lu-cile Lu-cile of Nephi were the guests of Mr. Ivan Bailey and family Saturday. Sat-urday. 9 |
