Show Youth Dies of Heart Failure Niels Johansen, 18, son of Kimball Kim-ball and Ida Crow Johansen of Delta, dropped dead at noon Monday Mon-day near Black Willow Springs on Canal Creek, five miles east of Spring City. The young man was one of a party of ten or twelve deer hunters hunt-ers who left Spring City Monday morning In the party were his uncle, Moroni Johansen of Spring City; his brother-in-law, Avon Barney of Delta, and several sever-al cousins. The party had left the wagons and had walked some distance when the young man dropped. Dr. W. P. Winters of Mt. Pleasant Pleas-ant pronounced death due to heart failure, caused by overexertion. overex-ertion. The youth was born in Mt. Pleasant, but moved with his parents to Delta in 1918. Surviving Sur-viving are his parents; one brother, Carlyle; two sisters, Mit Vera Barney and Mrs. Tanetta Olson, all of Delta. Funeral services, empressive-ind empressive-ind largely attended, were held from the South ward chapel. Wednesday at 2 p. m with Bi shop A. L. Peterson in charge. Prayers were offered by Andrew Lavsen and Bishop A. E. Mc Intosh Music was by the choir under direction of Mrs Ina L Jones' vocal solo, "O, Dry Those Tears " Miss Alice Peel, and vocal due:, Mrs. Glenes Scovil and Miss Pearl Larsen, "My Faith in Thee " The speakers were Bisnop Henry Hen-ry P. Olson, A. L. Peterson and Bis.r.op Cox. Mads Anderson dedicated the flower covered grave. |
