Show Former Utah Lawyer Dies In California Soreii X. Christensen, 67, one of the ablest criminal lawyers west of Chicago, and a native of Utah, died in a San Francisco hospital Wednesday morning ol diabetes, according to word received re-ceived here. Mr. Christensen practiced in Salt Lake for twenty years anci since 1918 had made his home in San Francisco. He first entereu the profession in Provo as an associate as-sociate of Senator William H King and Justice George Sutherland Suther-land of the United States supreme court. He was born in Pcvo in February, Febru-ary, 1864 and was educated in U12 Brigham Ycung colleen, now the Brigham Young University He came to Salt Lako about 1900 and later won distinction as an orator in pleading cases. Mr. Christensen, who spent his boyhood in Springville, visited in this state three weeks ago. Mr. Christensen is survived by his widow, Mrs. Hilda Christensen, Christen-sen, three sons, Dennis and Lewis Christensen of San Francisco ana Earl Christensen of Los Angeles; five brothers, Lars Christensen of Castle Dale, Charles Christensen of Mt. Pleasant, Joseph Christensen Christen-sen of Los Angeles, Hyrum Christensen Chris-tensen of Canada and E. R. Christensen Chris-tensen of Salt Lake; three sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Lena Bagnall, Mr Hannah Bagnall and Mrs;. Elii.a Alkop, all of Chester. |
