Show William A. Averett Dies At Family Home Today William Alma Averett, 78, pioneer resident of this city, uied Friday morning at the family home, 305 South Fourth East from a heart attack. Mr. Averett had been in failing ..ealth the .past eight years. ivir. Avereu was oorn m Mt. Pleasant, June 2, 1863. His parents, par-ents, Washington and Elizabeth Coates Averett were among the early settlers of this city. He was married to Sarah Elizabeth Eliz-abeth Larter, March 13, 1883, and they were the parents of nine children. For many years Mr. Averett was employed as timber receiver receiv-er and night watchman for the Utah Fuel Company at Clear Creek. Later, he worked as a government trapper for the U. S. Biological Survey. He was a member of the L. D. S. ehuroh and tne South ward elders quorum. quor-um. Surviving are his widow and three sons, Alden Averett of Hemet, California; Royal J. and :Lynn Averett of Mt. Pleasant; ; seven grandchildren; and three brothers, John Averett of Em-mett, Em-mett, Idaho; Frank Averett of iBowen, Idaho; and James Averett Aver-ett oi Clear Creek. j Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted by Bishop Andrew L. I Peterson at 2 p. m. Monday in the South ward L. D. S. chapel. Friends may call at the family home Sunday evening and Mon- jday from 10 a. m. until tine of services. I Interment will be in the Mt. : Pleasant city cemetery under direction di-rection of Jacobs mortuary. |
