Show Lions Celebrate Fenders Birthday At Wed. Heeling Celtbration of the birthday of Melvin Jones, founder of Lion-ism Lion-ism in America, was observed Wednesday evening by members of the Mt. Pleasant Lions club and their wives at an award banquet. Conducted by Elden Hughes president of the organization, tin-dinner tin-dinner meeting included awards to Dr. L. A. Phillips and William Hansen for 20 years membership: member-ship: to Mr. Iluglus. J. F. Pritchett, Prit-chett, Dr. G. B. Madsen and John Maxwell for 10 years membership member-ship and presentation of the Lions key to Mr. Pritchett for bringing in two new members. Inducted into the organization at the meeting w.re a former member and two new members, j Resuming active membership was Harry Fricksen. New mem- bers are William Burton and Thomas G. Judd. I A musical program featured a ! quartet composed, of Ralph Ilaf- j en, W. N. Ball. Ernest Brunger , and Mr. Burton. They were ac- f companied by Roger Hansen.
